Does IAS have on-site servers?
No. IAS does not have any on-site servers. Data goes directly from the device to the cloud.
Is IAS encrypted?
Yes. IAS data is stored on the device and in the cloud encrypted, and all communications links are encrypted.
Who can see IAS data?
The user (or user’s organisation) controls who has access to IAS data. Users can be added, removed, or permissions changed, at any time.
Can I manage users and permissions?
Yes. Users (and IAS systems) can be managed in the cloud.
Can I see who made changes?
Yes. IAS logs what and when changes were made, and who made the changes.
Who provides the cloud infrastructure and where are the servers?
IAS uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
The initial instance is located in USA.
Additional instances in each operating region (LATAM, APAC, and EMEA) and potentially country will be added as required.
Is IAS data backed up?
Yes. IAS data in the cloud is backed up.
Is IAS always recording?
Yes. IAS always records, in order to provide the pre-detection videos (i.e. what happened before the detection).
Can recording be turned off?
No. IAS is a safety system and the recording is part of the audit data. However, video is only uploaded to the cloud when there is a detection. Video not sent to the cloud is automatically overwritten on the device after ~7 days.
What secures IAS?
IAS uses Keycloak for security and access control.
Does IAS have SSO?
Yes. IAS can be configured to use SSO through Keycloak.
How long is data stored on the IAS device?
Data storage time depends on the number of cameras and vehicle operating time. Assume that the video is stored for roughly 7 days before being overwritten by new video. Detection videos not sent to the cloud within this time maybe be overwritten and lost.
